We are so sorry your animal is missing or you have found a stray and need help finding its owner. The information below is provided to help give you the best chance to reunite the animal to its owner.
Dogs
The Delaware County Dog Warden (DCDW) is the central holding facility for a stray/lost dog in the county. The shelter is located at 4718 County Home Road, Delaware, Ohio 43015 and the phone number is 740-368-1915. Call or visit to let them know the details as they provide another layer of assistance to help reunite dogs to their owners.
Please note that the Humane Society of Delaware County is not able to hold stray dogs and we will immediately transfer it to the Delaware County Dog Warden.
Cats
There is not a central holding facility for a stray/lost cat in the county. Please call the HSDC at (740) 369-7387 or by email to darlene.burks@hsdcohio.org for assistance.
There are a variety of websites and applications available to help post a lost or found animal.
