The Humane Society of Delaware County offers free pet food to Delaware County residents who are experiencing difficult times. We understand that life can be challenging, and we’re here to help ensure pets stay fed and families stay together.
Our Pet Food Pantry is made possible through generous donations from local businesses, other nonprofits, and our compassionate community. Thanks to their support, we’ve distributed more than 130,000 pounds of pet food since 2022!
This program allows Delaware County residents to pick up pet food once a month for their dogs or cats during our regular shelter hours.
How to Receive Pet Food:
- Be a Delaware County resident
- Provide a valid photo ID
- Complete a one-page sign-up form (available at our front desk)
- Pets must be spayed or neutered. If your pets aren’t fixed yet, you can still receive food on your first visit. Our staff will be happy to connect you with helpful resources and information about low-cost spay/neuter options.
