Foster an Animal
Fosters provide a temporary home for pets in HSDC’s care while they are awaiting their forever home or the opportunity to move into one of our onsite adoption locations.
All foster homes must meet a few basic requirements to ensure the health and safety of all animals. Any personal pets in the home must be fully up to date on vaccinations and routine preventatives. Foster volunteers must also reside within 40 miles of our shelter to allow for timely support, veterinary care, and coordination.
