Every animal available for adoption at The Humane Society of Delaware County is special and deserves love, but these pets need special people, and we hope it’s you!
Helping People Help Pets!
It’s pets and their humans that make difference! Our stats demonstrate how our community supports our mission. When you consider that the HSDC is not supported at the county, state or federal government level, it takes a lot of love and dedication from donors to support daily operations. As a 501(c)(3), your donations are tax deductible.

🐾 Clinic Spotlight: Meet Maple! 🐾
This sweet kitten was brought to us by a Good Samaritan after being hit by a car. She was limping and experiencing pain in her hind legs, so we took radiographs and discovered a hip fracture.
Due to Maple’s young age, small size, and the location of her fracture, we were able to create a treatment plan focused on cage rest and pain management rather than surgery. With time, rest, and lots of TLC, Maple is doing well and starting to play like a normal kitten again! 🐱💗
A huge thank you to the kind Good Samaritan who got Maple the help she needed and to Healthy Pets of Lewis Center for helping us with her radiographs! It takes a community to make happy endings possible!
