HSDC offers low-cost or free veterinary care for pets owned by seniors living in Delaware County, made possible through generous support from our partner, SourcePoint. This program helps ensure that older adults in our community can continue to care for their beloved pets—who provide vital companionship, comfort, and proven health benefits.
Through the Pet Care Assistance Program (PCAP), low-cost or free veterinary care is provided by the HSDC clinic. Services are by appointment only and cover up to two established pets per household.
Services include:
- Vaccinations
- Dental care
- Necessary surgeries
- Medications
- Testing
- Flea & tick treatment
- Grooming services
- Respite Care for up to 30 days
To qualify for PCAP, you must:
- Be a Delaware County resident
- Be 55 years or older
- Complete an application
- Provide proof of income for all household members
- Provide valid photo ID for all household members
